Matt Ives

Since joining AJB Capital in 2021, Matt has led business development and capital raising for the firm.

Prior to AJB Capital, Matt was a senior director at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc., where he led strategy, business development, and operations for his business unit. Matt also served as a member of the company’s 401(k) committee.

Matt served eight years in the United States Marine Corps, becoming an infantry officer and deploying twice to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. His final duty station was at Naval Submarine Base King’s Bay in Georgia as the operations officer of the Marine Corps Security Forces Battalion tasked with protecting our nation’s strategic assets.

Matt enjoys coaching in his free time. He helped Fletcher High School in Jacksonville Beach, Florida grow its men’s varsity lacrosse program, resulting in the school winning its first-ever district championship. The team repeated its championship run the following year.

Matt earned a BS in Economics from the United States Naval Academy and an MBA from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.
